Caldicot Male Voice Choir always welcomes new choristers and at practice on Thursday 17th August 2023 new chorister, baritone Kevin Evans took the time to sing ‘This is the Moment’ in front of Musical Director Sian Hatton to determine whether he had grasped the principles of singing in a male voice choir. Sian’s following comment was ‘Kevin was note perfect’.
By the way, the choir will be singing this song at the Royal Albert Hall next April as part of the Festival of Massed Male Choirs.
The photo shows Kevin being presented with a certificate by chairman Graham Hughes recognising his achievement together with a choir tie to welcome him into the community that is Caldicot Male Voice Choir.
This certainly was the moment as far as Kevin was concerned and he was thrilled that he is now confirmed as a full member of the Choir.
The choristers are equally thrilled that Kevin, like so many others this year has joined us and hope that his time in the choir will be a long and happy one.
