Another Tremendous Race Night at the Choir Hall

After a 3 year absence due to Covid restrictions, it was great to be able to hold the Race Night at the Choir Hall in Caldicot on October 28th. The event was organised by Ron Powell, assisted by his wife, Linda. This event was held to raise funds for Caldicot Male Voice Choir to enable it to continue its singing in concerts and raise money for local and national charities.

The evening was attended by over 160 punters keen to lose their money (or hopefully win some) by placing bets on horse races shown on the gigantic screen at the hall.

Combined with a raffle of 25 prizes donated by local businesses and individuals, together with a superb buffet, the evening was a great success and it was wonderful to see the hall opened once again for a fabulous social evening.

Many thanks to all who helped make this a great success, including bar staff, tellers, glass collectors and those who set up the hall and cleared away afterwards. The Choir would also like to thank all those who sponsored races and horses so generously.
