It is a daunting prospect for a new chorister to have to sing a choral piece to Siân in order to demonstrate his ability to sing in our choir. This usually requires about 3 months of hard practice. In recognition of passing their second voice test and also for making the commitment to join us, each new chorister will now be presented with a unique, personalised Certificate to mark the event. Designed by Lyn Gauntlett, each certificate is personally signed by Music Director Siân Hatton and Chairman, Leon Jones.
The first ever recipient, Ron Griffiths in the Bass section, was presented with his certificate by Siân during practice last night. Well done Ron and we look forward to you being an active member of the choir for many years to come! We have three new members who have recently passed their first voice test (Dave Hennesey, Spencer Dowse and Mike Probert) and we are all expecting them to be presented with a certificate in the near future (assuming they pass the voice test – no pressure then!).
