Choir Sings at 50th Anniversary of the Town Council at the Castle

As part of the 50 year celebrations of Caldicot Town Council, Caldicot Male Voice Choir was one of the highlights with a performance at the Summer Fayre at Caldicot Castle on a rare, gloriously, sunny afternoon on 14th July.

Compered by Steve Drowley, who paid tribute to Bob Doggett’s 50 years and Dave Gould’s 55 years continuous long service in the choir the performance, conducted by Sian Hatton and accompanied by Olivia Dance and John Nicholson treated the audience, basking in the sunshine to a wide mix of music including favourites Rachie, May You Always Have a Song, 16 Tons, Cwm Rhondda, Anfonaf Angel, You’ll Never Walk Alone from ‘Carousel’, A Miner’s Song, 76 Trombones from ‘The Music Man’ and finalising with Stout Hearted Men from the musical ‘New Moon’.

The choir members left the stage to join with their families at the several activities, stage performances by local children and refreshment stalls during the remainder of the afternoon, thoroughly enjoyed by all.
