On the 19th June, Caldicot Male Voice Choir was delighted to join with the Roseville Festival Singers from Minnesota USA at St. Stephen’s Church in the centre of Bristol. The concert was in aid of the Bridges for Community charity which helps to bring diverse communities together.
Although Caldicot Choir was depleted in numbers due to positive Covid tests among its choristers, the choir, conducted by Shirley-Anne James and accompanied by Sian Hatton throughout, gave a tremendous, well received performance of its favourites, A Miner’s Song, Rachie, Y Darlun, African Prayer, Cwm Rhondda among many others.
The thirty strong Springvale choir conducted by John Helgen and Karen Wilkerson performed an excellent, eclectic range of songs from classical through to American spirituals. The choir had already performed two successful concerts in London, including Southwark Cathedral and continues its tour to York and Edinburgh.
