We have already recently welcomed brothers John and Nick Antell to the choir, but we were delightfully surprised to see a third brother, Nigel turn up to practice last night.
Without hesitation, he went into the back room with Siân to do his warbling bit of oooohs and aaaahs and emerged to the announcement that he is a top tenor, just like his siblings. It must be in the genes!
I think we must be the only choir to have three brothers all at once in the top tenors. Anyone care to disagree? Are there any more at home?
Nigel now has the distinction of being the twentieth chorister to join our ranks since the Annual Concert last year and the fourth since last May.
Another bit of good news is that recently, while I was on holiday, George Boswell successfully passed his second voice test to become a fully fledged member of the Choir. Well done, George.
