It’s that time of year again when we welcome a special guest choir to Caldicot to perform with us at the Gala Concert. This year we are proud, fortunate and pleased to welcome Bridgend Male Choir as our guests. Formed in 1960, originally as Bridgend Police Choir, Côr Meibion Pen-y-Bont, like ourselves has won many prestigious awards including the National Eisteddfodau at Newport in 2004 and again at Swansea in 2006.
Under the guidance of new Musical Director Rhiannon Williams-Hale, following the sad death last year of its long-standing conductor John Jenkins, Bridgend Male Choir is proud of its varied and extensive repertoire from the world of opera, to folk music, Welsh compositions, modern musical through to traditional male choral music. We are sure that this magnificent choir will join in with us to provide Caldicot with a wonderful festival of Welsh Male Choral singing at its best.
