Followng on from this month’s earlier visitors from Egypt and Belarus, the Choir was pleased to welcome old friends, John and Marcia Williams from Adelaide, Australia to tonight’s practice. John and Marcia are coming to the end of a seven week trip which has taken in Vancouver, Boston and South Wales before they leave for Australia on 4th August.
John is Functions Director of the Metropolitan Choir of South Australia and previously met up with Caldicot Male Voice Choir when they formed part of the Gwent Male Voice Choir tour to Australia. John was also in Caldicot in 2003 when his choir and the Burlington Choir from Canada appeared in our 40th anniversary Gala Concert in the leisure centre (thanks to Dave Kirton for remembering this).
John and Marcia both commented on our ‘wonderful singing’ and were pleased that their choir also sing some of our pieces. Marcia particularly liked ‘African Trilogy’ and both commented on how fortunate we were to have such a talented musical team. They promised to keep in touch through our web-site and we look forward to their comments..
