Barry Hammett’s Swingshift Band May 5th 2012

Mark Stocker announced last night that the choir is extremely fortunate to have booked one of the top function band in South Wales at the Choir Hall for Saturday 5th May.  Following on from mega successful Queen Tribute, Musicians in Black, Owen Money and the Sharks and Red Mick nights this is another event not to be missed.  Tickets are an amazingly cheap £10 per head and doors open at 7-00pm till late.

For this evening The Barry Hammett’s Swingshift Band will call on up to 10 musicians and four vocalists to provide a big evening of  mixed sounds from all kinds of music to please all tastes and guaranteed to get you dancing.

 

Since playing in hit 60s group “Johnny Kidd and the Pirates”, touring with Kiki Dee and Bucks Fizz all over the world, Barry Hammett formed SwingShift, now regarded as one of South Wales top Function Bands.
Playing at weddings, corporate functions and parties all over the UK, SwingShift’s professional musicians provide music and entertainment that are second to none.
With music by Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, The Blues Brothers, The Commitments and many more, SwingShift’s repertoire  includes Swing, Jive, Funk, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Disco, Latin and Pop.
