We were delighted when a stranger walked into the choir hall and asked to listen to us practice.
It seems that 71 year old John Phelps was walking past the choir hall a while ago on his round the Wales coastal path walk when he heard us singing.
He resolved that when he finished his walk he would call in to listen to us again. John, from Dowlais near Merthyr Tydfil, after completing 1,030 miles over 114 days kept to his resolution, did call in, enjoyed a pint and thoroughly enjoyed listening to us. What a way to complete a magnificent achievement!
The choir is always keen to welcome visitors to our practices which take place every Monday and Thursday evening at the Choir Hall in Mill Lane, Caldicot from about 7-00pm. If you’re interested in hearing us then please drop in. No obligation to join and you would be made very welcome.
