On the 4th April Richard (Peggy) Mount, who first came along to practice in January, went into the back room to sing a favoured piece to Musical Director Sian Hatton to find out whether he had learned enough of the basics to allow him to become a full member of the choir.
To his and the choir’s delight he emerged as an approved second tenor, just in time for him to make is first appearance at the Annual Concert followed by participating in the Festival of Male Choirs at the Royal Albert Hall. What a debut!
On the 2nd May practice in front of delighted choristers Peggy was presented with a certificate to mark his joining the choir together with a choir tie by chairman Graham (Spike) Hughes,
If like Richard you fancy a new hobby why not come along to the choir’s practice evenings on any Monday or Thursday from 7pm at the Choir Hall in Mill Lane, Caldicot, near the Leisure centre..
