It was with great delight that after the break in practice last night, Musical Director Siân mounted the podium to announce to loud cheers that top tenor John Searle had passed his second voice test. John’s membership now swells the ranks of the top tenors to twenty two. The top tenor section is the second largest in the choir. Will they catch up with the baritones at twenty five?
John came into the choir hall a few months ago just to see what it was all about and enthusiastically joined in even taking part in the endurance cycle event run by the Cycle club at Redwick.
Particularly pleasing is that John is part of five choristers who have joined us since May to become full members of the choir in the past month and all will hopefully make their debut Gala concert on September 5th.
