Last night (Monday 29th May) the choir was thrilled to see a familiar face come through the door. Andrew Cox visited us with the intention and aspiration to join our choir since his father was a member several years ago.
A long standing supporter of the choir, and a familiar face, he was led into the back room with Siân for his first voice test. We were relieved to learn and to loud applause it was announced that he is a 2nd tenor. Andrew is our 19th recruit since the Annual concert in 2013 and the choir now has a balanced look about it. As our new choristers gain experience through practice and concerts we continue to be one of Wales’ leading choirs and as such a choir well worth listening to.
Not only did we welcome Andrew to our choir but we were really pleased to see 2nd tenor Ken Gibbs return after a brief period of ill health. Welcome back Ken – good to see you.
If you have ever had any thoughts about joining us there are many good reasons, so why not come along on a Monday or Thursday evening and see and hear what we do. It really is that simple.
