The ranks of the choir continue to swell with the arrival at practice last night (Monday 28th) of David (Dai) John. David came along a few weeks ago as a representative of Prostate Cymru. He gave us an eloquent talk of the effects of the disease on his life during the break in our Opening evening to raise awareness of the disease (scroll down a few items to see the write up of that evening). Prostate Cymru is our chosen charity for this year and we hope to raise £10,000 for this worthy cause. Yet another to venture into the back room but this time, against recent odds he emerged as a 2nd Bass. Well done Dai and thanks for joining us. We’re sure you will have a long and happy association with us.
Also, the choir was pleased to welcome, after an absence of about 6 months due to work commitments, Ron Griffiths back into the 2nd Basses. Good to have you back Ron, although the boys in your row will have to squeeze up.
We have recruited an amazing 17 members in the past 12 months, that is 20% of the choir’s total membership!
