It is well known that Caldicot Male Voice Choir was formed in 1963 a year after locally known RTB’s was built by Richard Thomas and Baldwin. It later became known as Spencer Works before being re-named Llanwern Steelworks. It has passed through owners British Steel and Corus before being acquired by the current owners TATA Steel, an Indian based company. Many of the Choir, past and present, have lived through the many changes that have taken place during these difficult periods of changing ownership.
It is appropriate therefore, that the Choir is pleased to be invited to entertain executives of TATA from the UK, Europe and Asia who are meeting at Cardiff Castle next Friday evening, 3rd February. We are looking forward to providing this international audience, in a wonderful location, with an entertaining concert aimed to reflect our Welsh culture and heritage and leave its members with long-lasting, happy memories of their time in Wales.
