From ‘The Libretto’ – May 2010
Date: 24th April – Choir number: 56
I thought the choir gave an excellent concert, many pieces were very well sung especially ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and ‘The Rhythm of Life’, in particular. The audience were great and thoroughly enjoyed it, indeed, they would like to make it an annual event. The piano was terrible, and apologies to all those poor souls who had to do battle with it. Nevertheless, they all managed to make sweet sounds out of it which is a testament to their skill as pianists. At the risk of sounding biased, I thought Glenna sang beautifully and the duets and trios seemed to go down well too. Well done to all, a bit disappointing that the high numbers we have been getting in practice lately did not stretch to the concert, but let’s hope that the upward trend of attendance continues and keep on giving good concerts at every venue.
