Another Chorister Passes Second Voice Test

Last night, 20th February, top tenor Garry Veale nervously (there’s no need for nerves) was put through his singing paces by Siân to check out whether he had learned enough in the past few months to credit him with becoming a full member of the Choir. We  were all delighted that he emerged unscathed, with a broad grin, to the announcement that he had passed his second voice test. Welcome aboard, Garry and we look forward to you singing with us at your first concert.

The second voice test is one which all potential choristers go through just to make sure that after spending a few months with us  they have acquired the basic skills to join  us at concerts.  It is not arduous and just involves singing, with another chorister for support if needed, a few lines from a song of his own choice. The real learning starts later.  Garry becomes the twelfth chorister to pass the second voice test in the past twelve months.  Our blazer and dress suit retailers are delighted!
