Choir pleased to sing at Scarlett and Jack’s Wedding

On a beautiful sunny July 19th day, over thirty choristers of Caldicot Male Voice Choir made their way to the picturesque village of St Briavels in the Forest of Dean to sing at the wedding of Scarlett Underwood to Jack Millar at the incredible medieval church of St Mary the Virgin opposite the imposing castle.

As the bride and her entourage made their way down the knave, the choir thrilled the congregation with a rendering of Welsh Hymn favourite Calon Lȃn conducted by Assistant Musical Director Shirley Anne James and accompanied by Olivia Dance on piano.

The choir’s attendance also boosted the singing of hymns ‘Be Thou My Vision’ and ‘Guide me O Thou Great Redeemer’ sung to the tune ‘Cwm Rhondda’.

Following the marriage ceremony conducted by Rev. David Rees, the Registration of the Marriage was accompanied by the choir singing the Everley Brothers hit ‘Let it Be Me’ and finally the newlyweds proceeded to leave to the choir singing another Welsh hymn favourite ‘Rachie’ with the opening words ‘I Bob Un Sy’n Fyddlon’.

The bride and groom and members of the congregation expressed their delight with the singing of the choir and endowed the choir with many compliments on the performances.

The Choir is always pleased and honoured to participate in Wedding ceremonies and Services and hopes it leaves the bride and groom with long lasting memories of their special day.
